A brief pause

Hospital Room

Dear crônica readers,

Minhas Crônicas do Brasil is on a medical leave of absence for the next week or two.

On August 1 my husband donated a kidney to his brother. All are doing well and we seem to be leaving the hard days behind and are moving into the phase where each day everyone gets a little better.

There are lots of little crônica zygotes zinging around in my brain: reflections on all we have/are going through, more stories of life in our rural town, interesting events in the Brazilian news, upcoming family trips to celebrate our new freedom, and it’s also election season which is a guarantee for some wacky crônicaling. So never fear, your weekly crônica will be back before you know it.

Talk to you soon,
Malvina
