Urban Soundtrack: Two Tac

I adore the jazzy sounds of Elza Soares. All except for one song: Two Tac. Over and over I found myself skipping that track in the album because it was too jarring and overwhelming to my ears (so is the video on my eyes, it turns out).

But imagine my surprise to discover that this time this song is the perfect soundtrack to the gritty streets of Belo Horizonte. Fitting, I suppose, as I´ve heard that this city is one of the hearts of the Brazilian rock scene (MPB – Musica Popular Brasiliera). Here, this song works. It is my soundtrack as I ride the bus and walk the city streets to and from my class.  Love it.  Guess it just wasn´t ever meant for country life.

Never miss a crônica!
